POSITION SUMMARY:
The WellHouse Woman Program Director (PD) manages all social services for The WellHouse Woman program, a faith-based, residential, restorative care ministry for adult female survivors of human trafficking. The WellHouse Woman PD supervises and manages staff who deliver services directly to the adult residents of The WellHouse, Home Coordinators and Case Managers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for oversight, supervision, and quality assurance of all direct social services staff and needs of adult female residents.
- Responsible for ensuring that proper record-keeping and documentation is maintained and appropriately entered in the social services database.
- Regularly plan, review, and adjust resident programming on appropriate calendars.
- Ensure program operations and activities adhere to the WellHouse Woman Program guidelines and internal policies.
- Review treatment plans, case notes, and written correspondence to verify such documents meet appropriate standards.
- Ensure proper staffing for each shift/day.
- Ensure appropriate supervision of interns and best use of volunteers.
- Facilitate staff meetings with social services staff and informs COO of issues of concern; suggests and implements resolutions.
- Able to motivate, teach, and coach the team to help foster and cultivate morale, individual growth and accountability to the standards of The WellHouse.
- Coordinate summaries of residents’ progress and submits reports bimonthly for the Board of Directors meetings.
- May provide residents direct care in the event of staffing shortage.
- Recommend to the COO the selection and termination of employees.
- In coordination with the COO, regularly reviews staff performance per WellHouse procedure.
- Applies policies and procedures and handles personnel issues as needed. Requests COO assistance as needed.
- Working with the COO, documents any disciplinary actions.
- Keeps the COO informed of important programmatic and personnel issues.
- Keep abreast of trends and training opportunities pertinent to the topic of human trafficking.
- Work with COO in setting program goals and program evaluations.
- Perform other duties as requested by COO.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participates in training, workshops and meetings as requested or scheduled by the COO.
- Ensures duties and responsibilities are carried out in a supportive and professional manner.
- This position is a full-time, in-person salaried position based on an average of 40 hours/week.
- The organization’s headquarters is in Odenville, AL. Preference is given to candidates who are local or willing to relocate.
- The WellHouse upholds a 90-day probationary period on new hires.
- Full-time employees are granted 9 company-selected holidays, 1 floating holiday, and Paid Time Off (PTO) with accrual rate based on the number of years with the organization as outlined in the Employee Handbook, but typically 17 days for the first 3 years. PTO may be used as desired, with supervisor’s pre-approval which includes the provision by the employee requesting PTO of a plan for sustaining the work of the employee’s position when on PTO.

Problem solving will include cooperative efforts with the rescues, residents, volunteers, stakeholders, donors, guests, and other WellHouse staff.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in the field of social work, psychology, administration, or a related field. Human Services field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required. Master’s degree preferred.
- A current social worker license under Alabama law or Counseling preferred.
- Applicants should have specialized experience and/or training in trauma informed services.
