Position Summary:
The Senior IT Engineer/Administrator is a key role responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of the organization's Active Directory, Office 365 environment, distributed network infrastructure, and related IT systems. This individual will lead and mentor the technical team, provide strategic direction for IT operations, and implement best practices to enhance security, reliability, and performance.
The ideal candidate will possess advanced technical expertise in networking, system administration, security, troubleshooting, and customer service while demonstrating strong leadership, project management, and IT governance skills. This role requires the ability to manage multiple IT domains, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and support the organization’s strategic IT vision.

Location: Remote in Orlando area with monthly meetings on-site in Orlando, FL or Green Bay, WI
Reports To: VP of Technology and Innovation
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Team Management:
- Provide leadership and technical guidance to the IT support team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
- Manage and prioritize IT projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with business objectives.
- Serve as the point of escalation for complex technical issues, ensuring effective and timely resolution.
- Mentor junior staff and facilitate training to build team capabilities and knowledge-sharing.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and implement employee development plans.
- Establish and enforce IT policies, security best practices, and operational standards.
2. Network Infrastructure Design, Security, and Support:
- Oversee the administration and maintenance of LAN/WAN, firewalls, switches, routers, VPNs, and wireless networks.
- Collaborate with network architects to design, implement, and maintain scalable, high-availability network solutions.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize network devices, ensuring maximum uptime and security.
- Perform proactive network monitoring and analyze system performance to identify and mitigate risks.
- Implement network security protocols and best practices, including firewall configurations, VLAN segmentation, and intrusion detection/prevention measures.
3. Cisco Meraki Solutions Management:
- Administer and manage Cisco Meraki network solutions to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability.
- Perform firmware updates, security patches, and system optimizations to maintain network integrity.
- Utilize Meraki dashboard tools for proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and policy enforcement.
4. Microsoft Systems Administration and Cloud Management:
- Manage, maintain, and support Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
- Administer Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) and integrate with on-premises Active Directory.
- Implement and oversee Microsoft Intune for endpoint management, security, and compliance enforcement.
- Ensure robust identity and access management (IAM) policies, including MFA and role-based access control (RBAC).
- Perform data backup, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity operations.
5. Telephony System and Unified Communications Support:
- Administer and maintain the 3CX Phone System, ensuring seamless VoIP communication and troubleshooting call-related issues.
- Configure call routing, IVR, voicemail, and other telephony features to meet business needs.
- Monitor system performance and apply updates and patches as required.
6. Endpoint Management and Cybersecurity Support:
- Deploy, configure, and manage endpoint security solutions, including CrowdStrike Falcon EPM.
- Oversee patch management, software deployment, and compliance policies for all endpoints.
- Perform regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and implement security controls.
- Develop and implement incident response protocols to address cybersecurity threats.
7. Customer Service, Technical Support, and IT Operations:
- Provide tier-3 IT support and troubleshooting for complex technical issues across enterprise applications, hardware, and networks.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and end-users, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
- Maintain and support CRM and IT service management (ITSM) tools to track and resolve issues efficiently.
- Develop and enforce IT policies and best practices to improve service delivery and system reliability.
8. IT Documentation, Compliance, and Governance:
- Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, Office 365 environments, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA, SOC 2).
- Perform regular system audits and generate reports for leadership.
9. Learning and Development:
- Stay current with emerging technologies, best practices, and industry advancements.
- Attend seminars, conferences, and training programs as assigned.
- Develop internal training materials and mentorship programs to elevate team knowledge and performance.
Qualifications
Position Required Qualifications:
Certifications (Required):
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent networking certification.
- Cisco Certification in Meraki Network Solutions and Technologies.
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert.
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate.
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate.
Experience:
- 10 years of IT systems/network administration and enterprise support experience.
- Proven experience in managing Microsoft Office 365 and Teams administration.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and integration with on-premises Active Directory.
- Demonstrated experience in leading technical teams and driving IT strategy.
- Expertise in administering the 3CX Phone System and telephony solutions.
- Hands-on experience with CRM and ITSM platforms for tracking and managing service requests.
- Strong cybersecurity and endpoint management experience (CrowdStrike Falcon, Microsoft Intune, etc.).
Skills:
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to mentor and develop IT professionals.
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs, Firewalls).
- Expertise in cloud-based identity management, security, and access control policies.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with network monitoring tools and automation technologies.
- Additional certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Security , or ITIL v4.
Physical Requirements & Work Conditions:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Availability for evening and weekend work as required.
- Willingness to travel for on-site support and project implementation.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds when needed.

Salary : $90,000 - $115,000
