This position is the liaison between the product development team, suppliers and the QA teams to ensure all Wendy’s menu items meet our Quality standards. Analyze production data, recommend product testing methodology and partner with suppliers and QA team to ensure successful launches and maintained supply that is replicable at all suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Attends and Coordinates production runs at Wendy’s supplier facilities. Manages product sampling at the facilities with members of the QA, QSCC and R&D team. Manages data collection and analysis according to specifications to complete product releases related to the continued sale and production of that measured product.
- Provides analysis and interpretation of production data to provide to the project leads to ensure gold standard products are produced. Utilize various statistical software programs to ensure accurate and rapid results are available. Will make immediate decision on product and testing continuation.
- Responsible for completing detailed, high level reports with production data to cross-functional teams to help create specifications and select production facilities which are capable of producing according to specifications.
- Consults and makes recommendations to cross-functional teams and suppliers to develop analytical testing plans with the purpose of guiding specification development and optimization.
- Identifies and recommends ways to improve efficiencies at suppliers and or restaurant level to improve the restaurant economic model.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Food Science, Meat Science, Biology or equivalent experience
- 5 years experience in Food Research and Development, Commercialization, Quality Assurance or Food Manufacturing
- Excellent computer skills which include analytical/statistical software applications
- Project management experience
- Plant commercialization or production experience

The base pay range for this position is listed below. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and budget for the open position and also may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other relevant factors. This range does not include an estimated value for any benefits, bonus, or other incentives that may be applicable based on position. * The target annual bonus for this role is 10% of annualized base salary, based on actual company and personal performance.
