Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic professional with an outgoing personality, exceptional communication skills, and a strong work ethic to join our team. This role requires a proactive problem-solver who can effectively troubleshoot UKG Workforce Management system discrepancies, address employee inquiries, and provide timely resolutions with a customer-focused approach. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates adaptability, and is dedicated to delivering outstanding support and service.
In addition to strong technical and interpersonal skills, the successful candidate must excel at adapting to ambiguity, navigating uncertain situations with confidence, and finding creative solutions to evolving challenges. This position is integral to ensuring smooth Payroll operations by managing employee interactions with care and precision while collaborating across teams to resolve technical challenges and enhance workflows.
Primary Responsibilities
- Process and review payroll for all employees using UKG Workforce Management and UKG Pro systems.
- Work with managers to verify hours worked, overtime, PTO, and other compensation adjustments entered into UKG systems.
- Maintain and update employee profiles, pay codes, and other payroll-related configurations within UKG systems.
- Generate and analyze payroll reports using UKG Pro for auditing and compliance purposes.
- Troubleshoot UKG system issues and liaise with UKG support to resolve technical challenges.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, tax withholding, and benefits deductions.
- Assist employees with navigating UKG self-service tools, such as updating direct deposit information or accessing pay stubs.
- Manage payroll-related aspects of onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and audit data within the UKG systems to identify and correct discrepancies.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to reconcile payroll accounts and ensure accurate reporting.
- Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes using UKG tools and automation features.
- Develop and document payroll procedures and best practices for using UKG systems effectively.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Associate’s degree in business or a current Payroll Certification (such as Certified Payroll Professional - CPP or Fundamental Payroll Certification - FPC).
- Minimum 3-5 years of payroll processing experience with demonstrated expertise in UKG Workforce Management and UKG Pro.
Skills and Knowledge
- Proficient in UKG Workforce Management and UKG Pro modules, including payroll, timekeeping, and reporting features.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other payroll-related tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with multi-state payroll processing.
- Experience managing payroll and processes for remote employees across multiple locations nationwide.
- Experience with a workforce of over 500 employees.
