Job Title: Baker
West Side Bakery is seeking a baker to join our team. As a baker at West Side Bakery, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of fresh pastries, cakes, and desserts.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare dough and batter from scratch using recipes provided by the bakery.
- Bake and decorate a variety of pastries, cakes, fillings, and frostings.
- Ensure the quality, consistency, and freshness of all baked goods.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following health and safety regulations.
- Contribute to the organization and cleanliness of the bakery as a whole.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a baker is preferred.
- A passion for baking and an understanding of the science behind it.
- Ability to read, follow, and multiply recipes accurately and consistently.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
Schedule: This is a full-time position with a schedule from Monday-Friday, with flexible shifts within 5am to 5pm.
