Department: Facilities
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Hours per week: 40
About the Role:
As our Facilities and Fleet Supervisor, you'll oversee the maintenance and operations of our building facilities, custodial services, and vehicle fleet, including cars, vans, and buses. You'll lead a team, perform hands-on maintenance tasks, and ensure our facilities and fleet are in top-notch condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Building Maintenance: Manage and perform maintenance tasks for HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and more.
- Custodial Services: Supervise custodial staff to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Fleet Management: Oversee vehicle maintenance, inspections, repairs, and handle insurance claims.
- Team Leadership: Provide guidance, training, and performance evaluations for your team.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for facilities and fleet operations.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Vendor Coordination: Work with external vendors for maintenance and repair services.
- Emergency Response: Implement emergency response plans for facilities and fleet incidents.
- Inventory Management: Maintain supplies and equipment for maintenance tasks.
- Preventive Maintenance: Develop schedules to minimize downtime and extend asset lifespan.
- Safety Coordination: Collaborate with the safety committee to ensure comprehensive safety practices.

Required Skills:
- Valid Driver’s License and insurance
- High School Diploma
- 3 years’ experience in facilities management, custodial services, and fleet management
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Budget management and vendor negotiation skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Hands-on maintenance experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in facilities management or a related field
- Experience with fleet management software
Work Environment & Physical Demands: This role involves both administrative tasks and hands-on maintenance work. You’ll frequently travel locally to oversee vehicle maintenance and meet with service providers. The position includes indoor and outdoor work environments, with exposure to various physical demands and weather conditions.
