Overview: Job Coach - Supported Employment
Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt (PRN)
General Description:
The Job Coach provides mentorship and support to individuals in Supported Employment, assisting them at their job sites.
Essential Functions:
- Train clients to meet workplace expectations.
- Use positive interventions and coaching tools to boost motivation and productivity.
- Work individually with clients to enhance work and production skills.
- Observe and document client performance; maintain accurate records.
- Complete necessary billing paperwork.
- Orient clients to employer policies while ensuring confidentiality.
- Travel to various job sites using personal vehicle; maintain regular attendance.
Required Skills:
- 6 months of experience working with persons with disabilities.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Reliable transportation.
Preferred Skills:
- College degree.
- Personal experience with a disability.
Competencies:
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- High sensitivity toward individuals facing employment barriers.
- Ability to handle difficult conversations with tact.
Work Environment:
The role involves mostly indoor work with some outdoor travel, potentially encountering unpredictable clients.
