What are the responsibilities and job description for the PM Front Desk Agent/Night Auditor position at The Wick Hotel?
The Wick, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, is a Four Star, full-service boutique property located in Hudson, NY. The hotel features 55 guest rooms, two meeting spaces and on-site amenities. We offer competitive pay and benefit options, plus we provide a fun, friendly atmosphere to work!
We are currently looking for candidates to fill the role of PM Front Desk Associate and flex as Night Auditor, when needed. This position is responsible for performing a variety of duties including guest registration, handling of guest inquiries, acting as a liaison between guests and other hotel departments, with the primary purpose of satisfying the guest and achieving repeat business. Also performs a variety of cashiering functions including guest checkouts, and is responsible for upholding hotel credit policy and procedures. This candidate hopefully continues to strive to reach a higher level of hospitality while providing a level of service commensurate to that of a Four Star Hotel.
PM shifts can be 2pm-10pm, 3pm-11pm
Night Audit is 11pm-7am
Basic Job Requirements:
- Excellent guest relations and communication skills
- Welcome guests upon arrival
- Registers and processes guests promptly upon arrival
- Performs all guest accounting functions according to established hotel operating procedures
- Become familiar with guest’s names, and acknowledge them with it
- Answer telephone expediently and handle complaints, problems, special requests, non-related desk questions - making sure to log phone complaints and requests
- Familiarity with daily hotel occupancy reports, status of rates and rooms available, etc. prior to beginning of shift
- Familiar with and ability to follow all emergency procedures established by the hotel
- Handle and expedite all guest mail, messages and faxes received at the desk
- Maintain familiarization with hours of operation for all food, beverage, and recreation/entertainment outlets in the hotel
- Establish close communications and harmonious working relationships with all hotel departments
- Able to efficiently accept and place a reservation in the computer
- Able to efficiently work as a reservation and communication agent
- Follow all procedures set forth in regard to registration
- Familiar with manual back up system in case of computer down time
- Complete Guest Checkout process accurately and quickly
- Completely familiar with all hotel credit policies and procedures - including credit card limits and receiving approval codes on all credit cards
- Keep guest accounts updated and accurate at all times
- Stays up-to-date with all room rates, room types, special promotions, packages, etc
- Ability to multi-task front desk and restaurant, when needed
- Assist events with setup and breakdown, when needed
- Bartending experience a plus!
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisors/Managers
