A global food manufacturing company is seeking a Jr. Project Engineer to join its team at its flagship Memphis, TN facility. This role will support the company's expansion and automation efforts by assisting in the design, coordination, and execution of capital projects related to manufacturing operations.
This is a permanent, direct-hire position that requires on-site work in Memphis, TN. A strong relocation package is available for qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, design, and implementation of capital projects related to plant expansions, equipment installations, and process automation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and maintenance to ensure project success.
- Support equipment selection, vendor coordination, and project scheduling under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Utilize AutoCAD, Excel, and MS Project to create and update project documentation.
- Monitor project progress, troubleshoot technical issues, and assist with cost control measures.
- Ensure all work aligns with safety, quality, and compliance standards.
Qualifications:
- BS Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
- 1-2 years of experience in project engineering within an automated food or consumer products manufacturing plant
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, and MS Project. SAP experience is a plus.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
- Authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
