We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Internal Recruiter to join our team. This role will be responsible for full-cycle recruitment for positions across multiple departments, including attorneys, paralegals, case managers, legal assistants, marketing, accounting, intake, and more. The ideal candidate will have experience in recruitment, excellent interpersonal skills, and a passion for connecting talented professionals with rewarding career opportunities.
This position will also assist in administering HR policies and programs, supporting employee relations, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. The Recruiter/HRG will work closely with management to attract, hire, and retain top talent, while fostering a positive work environment. In addition, the role will involve handling onboarding through HRIS, ensuring smooth transitions for new hires, and managing the offboarding process for departing employees.

Key Responsibilities
- Full-Cycle Recruitment: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with department managers to understand hiring needs and craft tailored job descriptions.
- Provide guidance on HR policies and procedures and act as a resource for employees’ HR-related inquiries.
- Talent Sourcing: Proactively identify and engage with potential candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, career fairs, and networking events.
- Candidate Experience: Ensure a positive and professional experience for all candidates throughout the recruitment process.
- Pipeline Management: Build and maintain a robust talent pipeline for current and future openings across all departments.
- Employer Branding: Promote The Wilhite Law Firm as an employer of choice by sharing the firm's culture, mission, and values during recruitment efforts.
- Metrics & Reporting:
- Track and report on key recruitment metrics, including time-to-fill, source effectiveness, and hiring quality. P
- Provide HR-related reports to management, including turnover rates, onboarding progress, and other relevant HR data.
- Onboarding:
- Oversee and manage the onboarding process for new hires to ensure a smooth transition into the firm.
- Utilize HRIS to input and track new employee data, including personal information, job titles, compensation details, benefits enrollment, and tax documentation.
- Ensure all required new hire paperwork is completed and filed in compliance with firm policies and legal requirements.
- Coordinate with IT and office management to ensure new hires are set up with the necessary equipment and access to systems.
- Schedule and conduct employee orientations to introduce new hires to the firm’s policies, culture, and values.
- Offboarding:
- Oversee the offboarding process for departing employees, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed, including resignation letters, exit interviews, and compliance procedures.
- Manage the return of firm property (e.g., computers, access cards) and ensure the timely deactivation of accounts and systems access.
- Collaborate with payroll to ensure final paychecks, benefits continuation, and any other offboarding duties as needed. Collaborate with management to implement employee engagement strategies and retention initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent professional experience preferred.
- Proven experience as a recruiter required, previous law firm recruiting highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices and tools, including applicant tracking systems (ATS) and LinkedIn Recruiter.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple openings and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive and creative approach to sourcing and engaging with top talent.
- At least 3 years of recruiting and HR experience.
