What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Law Attorney position at The Wilner Group?
The Wilner Group has partnered with a mid-sized law firm with several locations across NJ for multiple immediate openings for Family Law Attorneys. Our client has an outstanding reputation in a very challenging and emotional area of law and is a trusted adviser during a stressful and vulnerable time for their clients. This is a full-time, onsite position at their Hackensack, NJ location, Compensation is $90k-$125k.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare Family Law related documents including pleadings and correspondence.
- Provide legal counsel and strategy to clients by analyzing their needs and determining the proper course of action.
- Represent clients in court.
- Must be prepared to step in and handle pieces of existing family law cases; as well as handle new cases as part of a team, from initial consultation to trial.
- Experience in managing own caseload with staff and management support.
- Experience making court appearances regularly.
- Significant experience drafting motions, arguing law and motion matters, and taking and defending depositions.
- Strong communication skills.
