Job Summary
Epic Trainer (Contract - Short Term, Houston Area Only)
Position : Epic Trainer
Location : Houston, TX, and surrounding areas (onsite as needed)
Duration : Approximately 11 weeks
Start Date : Spanish-speaking trainers – April 2025; Other trainers – May 2025
Job Summary :
We are seeking experienced Epic Trainers to provide training and go-live support for our healthcare staff. This is a short-term contract position restricted to candidates local to Houston and surrounding areas , as travel expenses will not be covered. Trainers must be credentialed or certified in at least one Epic application and possess a strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and the ADDIE model .
Key Responsibilities :
- Deliver Epic system training to end-users, ensuring they are well-equipped to use the application efficiently.
- Provide on-site support at locations during training sessions and go-live implementation.
- Adapt training methods to accommodate a diverse workforce, including Spanish-speaking employees.
- Utilize best practices in instructional design, presentation skills, and adult learning methodologies .
- Assist with curriculum development and enhancement of training materials as needed.
- Maintain flexibility in scheduling, including availability for day, night, and weekend shifts .
