Position Overview
The Comfort Advisor is responsible for generating leads, evaluating the HVAC needs of residential customers, following the Nexstar Sales Model and creating and presenting options. This role requires good communication skills and HVAC knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
Meeting the client's needs and wants while meeting the minimum budgeted sales as determined by management's plan. The company depends highly on the Comfort Advisor's ability to convert prospects into satisfied owners of new air conditioning and heating systems.Maintain a closing ratio on technician-generated leads of 75% or higher.Maintain a closing ratio on marketed leads of 50% or higher.Maintain an average sale price of $6,450 or higher.Be available within 15 minutes by phone at all times, other than scheduled vacations or holidays.Arrive at appointments 5 - 10 minutes ahead of scheduled appointment time.Only present the price for a system when all the decision makers are present.Use the Home Comfort Guide.If both decision makers are not present, perform a partial survey and reset the appointment time when all decision makers are available.Perform a complete Comfort Survey and Home Analysis on every call.Complete all paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.Sales Lead Scheduled to come out within 24 hours99% of the time estimate is to be given onsite - if off book within 24 hours - Using the comfort guideFollow Up within 24 hours after quoteSecond follow up - more ways of communication to be used in 24 hoursThird Follow up 1 week laterThe Comfort Advisor is responsible for financing paperwork as well as ensuring collection of cash payments.Commission is not paid until the company is paid for the job or the client has signed a financing completion form.Spend at least two hours each week reading or listening to self-improvement or sales-related books, video, or audio.Conduct daily activities with the highest level of honesty and integrity, and always display a positive attitude toward fellow team members. Understand that any misrepresentation to a client or Manager is grounds for immediate dismissal.Arrive on time for sales training meetings conducted by Management.The Commission sheet is puled directly from Service Titan and approved by People Resources and the Trade Manager, then verified by Accounts Payable before payout.Maintain a high degree of integrity and loyalty toward the company and brands.Always be safety conscious both on the job and while driving.Participate actively in all training exercises, morning meetings.Live the Core Values in every interactionOther duties as assignedCompensation is based on individual performanceRequirements
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma / GED requiredAssociate degree preferred but not requiredHave a valid Driver's License and clean driving record5 years' experience in the HVAC trade (Preferred)Self-starter, reliable, flexibility with hoursStrong customer service skillsMust pass random drug testingBe able to operate a smartphone and tabletBe willing to travel out of town up to two weeks at a timeBe able to lift 50 lbs. regularly, bend repeatedly, climb a ladder 40', and kneel for extended periods of timeBe able to work in the heat and sub-zero weatherHave no fear of heightsPossess basic and / or advanced trade experiencePresent and communicate professionally (written and verbal)Understanding of the current regulations within the fieldExcellent interpersonal communication skills on a technical levelAble to work both independently and as part of a teamPhysical Demands and Work Environment
