What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activities Coordinator position at The Winds Resort Beach Club?
JOB SUMMARY:
The main function of this position is to assist in the planning and implementation of resort activities for resort guests. The Activities Coordinator is responsible for developing and running:
· Hosts activities programs on a day-to-day basis for all age groups. Activities will differ based on resort requirements and seasonal opportunities.
· Carries out all reasonable requests or special projects requested by guests or resort management.
· Plans, organizes and instructs specific classes, activities and events. Activities include special events and holiday programs.
· Assists in booking entertainment for events and groups.
· Continually develops new and exciting programs and shares ideas to improve and expand current and existing programs.
· Adheres to Company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
· Cross training in Guest Services Agent position (Front Desk) or other positions may be required to allow assistance during busy need periods when activities are not running.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Long hours sometimes required.
· Sedentary work – Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
DUTIES & FUNCTIONS:
· Ensure that friendly, courteous and efficient service is extended to all guests and staff - Developing, Scheduling, and running of recreation activities and programs.
· Promote recreation schedule to guests and lead activities.
· Maintaining current visual displays of recreation events/ activities and development of an online recreation calendar for guests.
· Develop organized games, sports, crafts, nature appreciation activities, and theme nights for guests.
· Ensure all recreation equipment is in proper working order.
· Report any problem with equipment to General Manager.
· Ensure that all guests have completed necessary waivers for activities.
· Provide instruction for safe use of equipment to guests and staff.
