JOB SUMMARY
The Division Manager On-Premises is responsible for setting the channel strategy, goals, and programming for the state of New York. In addition, this role will be primarily responsible for execution in Metro-New York, while collaborating with Upstate-New York Division Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Develop and implement an on premise Annual Operating Plan which includes financial, volume (shipments and depletions) and distribution objectives for New York.
Deliver desired results in the on-premises channel Scorecard.
Responsible for building and owning relationships with Southern Glazer’s on-premise channel leadership. Become lead point contact for on premise and establish optimal business rhythm at all levels within SGWS.
Ownership of strategy, pricing, and program execution in the on-premise channel of trade for Regional Chains, Hotel, and Independent accounts.
Serve as market lead and point of contact for TWG on premise National Account teams.
Manage and track the execution of sales programming and leverage appropriate resources to achieve sales objectives within Metro New York.
Manage depletion and distribution objectives for assigned geography.
Collaborate with TWG team and distributor network to ensure key initiative, program, new item, and monthly on-premise priority execution.
Schedule and lead effective distributor sales meetings with On Premise personnel.
Collaborate in effective distributor sales meetings alongside internal stakeholders.
Organize, lead, and assist in distributor crew drives.
Introduce creative sales execution concepts, aspire to be a thought leader, and establish best practices within the region.
Attend tastings events, wine dinners and team outings.
QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred five or more years of sales experience in the alcoholic beverage industry or related business with knowledge and passion for both commercial and premium on premise wines.
Must reside in metro New York.
Must have a strong understanding and working knowledge of the alcoholic beverage industry with a concentration in on-premise.
BA degree or equivalent experience.
Intermediate wine knowledge or associated certifications are preferred.
Well-organized with the ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
Must be adaptive to change within the organization and industry.
Results-oriented, innovative, has strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
Ability to multi-task and work at a fast pace.
Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work and succeed in a dynamic entrepreneurial environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Willing to travel with overnight stays as needed.
Display integrity, character, and strong leadership skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to travel frequently between home office, client sites, and industry meeting/events.
Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, standing, and twisting in the performance of various tasks.
Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at varying frequencies.
COMPENSATION
Hiring Salary Range Posted: $100,000 - $150,000.
Actual compensation will be based on factors such as experience; skills, knowledge, and abilities; education; and other position related factors.
