What are the responsibilities and job description for the EHS Coordinator position at THE WITTERN GROUP INC?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Promotes safety by partnering with all departments and plant operations.
· Monitor safety and health regulations and provide technical support to plant and office personnel to ensure compliance with Federal and State safety and health regulations
· Ensure all records are kept in accordance with Federal and State regulations.
· Develop corporate safety and health programs and objectives and coordinate safety training programs
· Position will conduct new employee safety orientations, provide ongoing support and documentation for new and existing employees.
· Review injury and property damage reports and perform root cause analysis.
· Conduct specialized safety training programs to communicate hazard control information and ensure compliance.
· Lead and organize Safety Committee meetings, managing follow up tasks as identified.
· Compile, analyze, interpret and report accident, loss and exposure statistical data; prepare comprehensive recommendations for corrective action to eliminate or minimize potential hazards.
· Assist with overall administration of workers’ compensation program.
· Assist in administration of risk management programs and negotiations with vendors and assessing customer service, quality and cost factors.
· Conduct PPE analysis and recommend the purchase of safety equipment and supplies and incorporate essential occupational health, safety and environmental requirements in all purchasing and control actions.
· Maintain SDS database.
· Ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
· Perform other duties as directed that correspond to the overall function of this position.
