The Investment Analyst, based in Parse’s office in Scottsdale, AZ, supporting both the Execution and Asset Management Teams.
Description
Execution and Asset Management Teams are responsible for performing due diligence, negotiating investment documents, closing and actively managing both debt and equity investments in for-rent, residential real estate, including conventional multifamily, single-family build-for-rent, student housing, and active adult.
Responsibilities
As an Investment Analyst, you will be exposed to all aspects of executing and actively managing a portfolio of debt and equity investments, and will be responsible for the following, among other things:
- Updating and maintaining due diligence checklists, files and folders
- Assisting in performing Guarantor analysis during diligence and throughout the investment term
- Facilitating updates to the underwriting model during the diligence process, working to ensure it reflects accurate inputs for Investment Committee and Closing
- Preparing investment committee packages and assisting in the approval process
- Corresponding with internal team, sponsors, outside counsel and third-party consultants on investment specifics and portfolio related items (data analysis, internal reporting, etc.)
- Facilitating transition of closed investments from Execution to Asset Management, creating portfolio company models (“PCM”) from the underwriting package for critical funding conditions, deal specific post-closing items, receipt of closing binders, etc.
- Updating data in the PCM during the asset management process (development, operations, rent rolls, etc.)
- Assisting with monitoring, servicing and reporting on all active investments
- Aiding in re-underwriting throughout the asset management process
Requirements
Parse seeks to hire individuals who are intelligent, highly motivated and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition to strong quantitative / analytical skills and an unwavering commitment to ethics and integrity, the successful candidate should have the following attributes:
- Preferably 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience in real estate investment
- Advanced financial modeling skills, including a high degree of proficiency with Excel
- Bachelor’s in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or other analytical / quantitative fields
- Strong verbal communication and business writing skills, with the ability to clearly organize, analyze, and present information
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to think independently with advanced problem-solving skills
