The Women’s Community currently has a position available as a Domestic Abuse Program Shelter Occasional Advocate, staffing our 24 shelter and support line:
· overnight shifts every other weekend
· total of 10 – 20 hours per two-week pay period
Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Domestic Abuse Program Coordinator, provides crisis intervention, support services, and shelter coverage for domestic and sexual violence victims.
Must possess ability to provide non-judgmental services.
Must be familiar with the dynamics of domestic abuse and sexual assault.
Bi-lingual fluency is a plus.
