Job Title : Passages IOP Group Facilitator Salary : $16.00-$22.00 Hourly

Position Type : Full Time - Non-Exempt Pay Schedule : Semi-monthly

Location : Houston, 77006 Reports To : Sr. Director of Passages IOP

Department : Programs Travel Percentage : 25% ___________________________________________________________________________________

Description : The Passages Intensive Outpatient Group Facilitator will manage and facilitate groups using an approved curriculum-based intervention. In this role, they will offer groups and individual support to clients on their recovery from drug and alcohol while participating in outpatient services at The Women's Home. The IOP Group Facilitator will undertake various tasks to empower clients in reclaiming control over their lives and recovery journey. They will collaborate within a multi-disciplinary treatment team to recognize, support, evaluate, and address any obstacles clients face in reaching their goals and objectives.

Essential Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and present daily outpatient group sessions using an approved curriculum based group format tailored for substance use disorder treatment.
  • Collaborate with other IOP program staff in daily structuring of curriculum and activities for each session.
  • Offer one on one support to clients.
  • Assess client progress and collaborate with team to review and update documentation to track impact and monitor program participation.
  • Foster personal growth and development for individuals dealing with mental health and substance abuse challenges and help them to develop strong coping skills.
  • Provide case management and service coordination for clients.
  • Facilitate decision-making process in the event of crisis situations and provide program / team support.
  • Provide brief behavioral interventions as needed using evidence-based best practice techniques.
  • Complete all required paperwork, reports, and documentation in an organized manner and within established deadlines.
  • Document and maintain client records and files in compliance with state and federal laws, licensure requirements and professional standards of practice.

Additional Responsibilities :

  • Participate in weekly supervision sessions.
  • Attend and actively contribute to all scheduled team meetings.
  • Engage in continuous professional growth and development.
  • Maintain professional conduct consistently.
  • Adhere to regular work hours, including some evenings and weekends.
  • Possess the ability to transport clients within the community.
  • Fulfill other assigned duties as necessary.

    Required Qualifications :

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent, preferably in social work, psychology, or related field; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Currently licensed in Texas as an LCDC.
  • 3 years experience running groups or IOP program sessions
  • Related experience developing, planning and overseeing IOP service delivery.
  • 3-5 years of experience working with individuals affected by substance use disorders and mental illness.
  • Bilingual in English / Spanish is a plus.
  • Proficient in accessing and utilizing mental health and substance use disorder services.
  • Strong leadership and advocacy skills with a firm commitment to recovery.
  • Valid Texas driver’s license and reliable transportation, including van driving capability and passing a driving test.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

  • Demonstrate leadership and IOP program session oversight.
  • Knowledge of and ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with a diverse team of providers and organizational administration.
  • Ability to facilitate a best practice IOP program to diverse clients.
  • Excellent facilitator and team member.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills- Knowledge of Microsoft suite and experience working with Database systems.
