Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will support the lead teacher in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. This role is essential in fostering a love for learning and ensuring that each child receives the attention and guidance they need to thrive. The Assistant Teacher will work closely with students, helping them develop socially, emotionally, and academically.
Duties
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and classroom activities.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a positive and structured environment.
- Help with curriculum development tailored to the needs of preschool or daycare children.
- Engage with children during playtime, promoting social interaction and cooperation.
- Provide care for toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Facilitate literacy education through interactive reading sessions and educational games.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support students with disabilities, ensuring an inclusive learning environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and educational materials.
Experience
- Previous experience in childcare settings such as preschool or daycare is preferred.
- Familiarity with early childhood education philosophies is a plus.
- Experience working with students of varying abilities, including those with disabilities.
- Strong skills in classroom management and the ability to create engaging learning experiences.
- A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
