Director of Program Operations
Summary
An employee in this class assists in directing a rehabilitation program for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities consistent with the organization’s mission. The Director of Program Operations will oversee and manage all program functions of the Workshop of Davidson, Inc. and its group homes which will include management of all staff (excluding Executive Director) in the execution of all program activities, community involvement aspects, and corporate compliance initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- At minimum Bachelor’s Degree preferably in the Human Services Field
- Must have Qualified Professional (QP) status &Valid NC Driver’s License
- Considerable work experience in personnel management, business administration education/experience along with strong computer skills and ability to lift up to 25lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to lead, manage and inspire the Workshop staff in their performance and achievement of persons served development in a culturally competent manner
- Ability to maintain communication and input from persons served and their caregivers/guardians
- Ability to educate and promote community relations to understand the mission of the Workshop of Davidson
- Ability to establish and promote working relationships with the local business community to attract contract work for the persons served
- Ability to delegate responsibilities to direct reports
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordination of daily activities of staff and persons served in the pursuit of work and program activities within company guidelines.
- Management/Scheduling of staff duties and oversight of personnel compliance with company guidelines.
- Oversight of program related activities and ensuring safety considerations.
- Insuring staff development along with daily/weekly communication meetings.
- Oversee the Corporate Compliance initiatives of the operation including program billing/budgetary spending compliance and financial forecasts of the operation.
- Seek out business contacts for possible contract work, assist with time studies, and price determination
- Ensure state and federal labor law compliance of all aspects of the operation.
- Seek opportunities to promote the Workshop of Davidson mission within our community & provide agency tours
- Assistance in maintaining CARF, DHHS and funding source standards
