What You’ll Do
 
The Employment Skills Facilitator contributes to the successful implementation and management of The Warehouse’s RISE program. This role involves a combination of curriculum development, curriculum facilitation, and program evaluation. The Employment Skills Facilitator is responsible for managing the facilitation of employability skills training and coaching for youth ages 14-24.
The Employment Skills Facilitator will work closely with the Program Manager and other stakeholders to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of programs and the achievement of desired outcomes.  
 
Program Development
  • Teach employability skills training courses, including but not limited to the Culture of Problem Solving, Conflict Resolution, Restorative Practices, Social Emotional Learning, and Customer Service and Sales. Work with employers to identify specific skills they are seeking and incorporate into courses.
  • Implement hard skills (Occupational Skills Training) and soft skills training (cover letter, resume, etc.).
Instruction and Facilitation
  • Administer and interpret career exploration and assessment tools (i.e. ONET, etc.) to participants to effectively guide youth in choosing a career path.
  • Collaborate with Navigational Coaches to place youth in respective work experiences/employment opportunities
  • Assist with the coordination and implementation of events (such as recognition and incentive activities, job fairs, community events, and participant orientations).
  • Network with businesses, nonprofits, schools, and government offices to identify resources and develop and maintain partnerships to strengthen service delivery, to develop programs, and address community needs.
Community Engagement
  • Represent the organization in public forums and with donor agencies and foundations as required. 
  • Promote awareness of the agency and its mission in the community.
Resource Management
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and developmentally appropriate environment, including the organization of space, storage of supplies and materials, and sanitation of equipment. 
Data Management and Reporting
  • Assist with program evaluations and assessments (i.e., surveys, environmental scans) to include program delivery, customer service, and effectiveness and progress toward program objectives.
  • Enter data into Delaware Job Link and Apricot systems and conduct file audits.
  • Maintain an active understanding of agency programs to increase opportunities for support and collaboration.
  • Practice continuous learning through individual study, classroom training, accredited early childhood development courses, seminars, and conferences. 
  • Attend regular staff meetings as scheduled.
 
What We’re Looking For
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited College or University.
  • A minimum of two years working with youth in a social service or educational setting.
Certification Requirements 
First Aid/CPR preferred; must be certified within first 60 days of hire. 
  
Conditions of Hire 
  • A satisfactory criminal background and reference check, a valid driver’s license, and an acceptable driving record are required at time of appointment and throughout employment in this position. 
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

  • Microsoft Office suite, database management, project management software, and applications such as Adobe proficiently.  
  • Be a team player, adapt to change and demonstrate flexibility as workstreams shift.  
  • Be culturally sensitive and open to constructive feedback.  
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. 
  • Demonstrate solid business acumen. 
  • Set priorities and provide guidance through direct and influence management. 
  • Effectively block, tackle, and troubleshoot day-to-day issues. 
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Develop and provide budget oversight and tracking. 
  • Lead effective and impactful community engagement. 
  • Network effectively with local businesses, corporations, vendors. 
  • Analyze data and make data-driven decisions. 
Work Environment and Requirements
  • Schedule: This is a full-time position, and general hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 11:30am-8:30 pm.; however, this position may require day hours and weekend work. 
  • Travel: Primarily local during the business day, with some out-of-area or overnight travel as needed.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to sit for extended periods, use technology, and move about to facilitate workshops or meetings.
