Golf Pro Shop Manager
-Report Directly to the Director of Golf & Director of Sports Retail
· Direct Pro Shop Management
o Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the pro shop including but not limited to opening/closing and the following of all policies and procedures during & outside hours of operation.
o Responsible as the point person for the function and operation of the POS ForeUp which includes but is not limited to booking tee times, executing sales, managing customer profiles, reporting/resolving issues to ForeUp, creating accurate sales reports and any other tasks related to ForeUp.
o Auditing Tee Sheet and executing reports from previous shifts unattended to ensure proper transaction processes.
o Responsible for creating and updating the policies and procedures manual for all golf employees. This includes all opening/closing procedures, daily duties, individual responsibilities, and or tasks.
o Responsible for tracking donation rounds with the director of golf to ensure certificates are given out and tracked accordingly.
o Responsible for maintaining a clean pro shop along with the facility maintenance crew.
o Responsible for reporting maintenance IT related issues to AGM.
o Responsible for overseeing pro shop associates to include the training of new staff regarding all aspects of pro shop and golf operations ensure staff is knowledgeable and effective.
o Assist in the oversight of all customer relations to ensure that the entire fold of staff is following The Yard’s standards when interacting with all members and customers.
o Assist in promoting all memberships and marketing at The Yards. Working directly with the Director of Marketing Membership to help educate customers regarding membership offerings and amenities to enhance the sales process of membership to customers who inquire.
o Responsible for working with outside service staff to communicate daily operational issues or changes regarding regular play, golf groups or tee time adjustments.
· Retail Management
o Provide golf shop visual merchandising with attention to detail of displays and merchandise placement.
o Works directly with the Director of Sports Retail to manage and oversee the special-order system to include placing, monitoring, communication, and billing.
o Monitor and maintain essential item inventory levels and order fill in product when needed. (Golf balls, gloves, etc.)
o Utilize the in-place systems for organization of merchandise and accurate inventory controls.
o Assist in helping the golf staff in any tasks needed to create a better member and guest experience.
o Daily management of products and display for merchandise.
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $17-$18.50 /hour
*Saturday and/or Sunday availability required
