Position Overview:
As a Yoga Instructor at The Yoga Common, you will lead students through mindful and challenging yoga classes, promote physical wellness, and cultivate an inclusive, supportive environment. We value instructors who bring their unique teaching styles, creativity, and enthusiasm to our studio while encouraging students of all levels to deepen their practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a variety of yoga classes for students of all levels.
- Create and modify class sequences that are accessible, engaging, and aligned with students’ needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the studio.
- Provide hands-on adjustments and individualized support when necessary.
- Promote and uphold the values of The Yoga Common: community, mindfulness, and growth.
- Be punctual, prepared, and professional for all classes.
- Build rapport with students and contribute to creating a welcoming, calm environment.
Ideal Candidate:
- 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training certification or higher (RYT preferred).
- Previous teaching experience is preferred.
- Knowledge and experience in a variety of yoga teaching settings, with the ability to teach beginner through advanced levels.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to inspire and connect with students.
- Enthusiastic about personal growth, wellness, and yoga as a lifelong practice.
- A commitment to continuing education and professional development.
- Knowledge of anatomy and the ability to offer safe, effective cues for all body types.
