What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd Shift Youth Care Worker (full-time) position at The Youth Service Bureau of Jay County, Inc.?
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday 4:00pm – 11:30pm & Staffing Wednesday 8:30am-10:30am
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 21 years old. Valid driver’s license and insurable.
BENEFITS: 80% of Health Insurance Premium Paid, 100% of Dental, Vision Premium Paid, Earn 8 hours PTO every month plus another 40 hours after 1st year of employment, 13 paid holidays, 403b match up to 5% of salary
DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
· Maintain general supervision of residents and related activities at all times to ensure cohesiveness among all residents
· Assist in preparation of meals and snacks, as prepared by third shift personnel.
· Instruct and guide residents in basic living skills such as personal hygiene, proper attire, eating habits, care of clothing, money management, dealing with structured and unstructured time, completion of all personal and household chores
· Assist residents in coping with out of home placement (i.e. addressing separation issues)
· Attend weekly staff meeting
· Assist in implementation of individualized treatment program per therapist’s instructions
· Maintain accurate documentation
· Provide appropriate disciplines as needed for infractions of immediate nature or as necessitated
· Supervise residents and document room check log every 10 minutes starting at residents bed times
· Safely drive 15 passenger van and other agency vehicles

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
