What are the responsibilities and job description for the Theartgorgeous is hiring: Studio Assistant in New York position at Theartgorgeous?
We’re looking for a detail-oriented, results-driven, self-starter to join our ZAK FOX design team. This position is in-person five days a week (not remote) and based at our NYC headquarters. This is an entry-level position.
This person will :
- Receive and catalog mill samples, send packages to mills
- Build strong relationships with mill partners, communicating via both email and phone / video calls
- Maintain new development tracker and design calendar – check status of developments with mills, request and audit technical information, communicate updates to ZAK FOX design team
- Ensure design studio is stocked with all necessary supplies, organize projects and maintain design archive
- Facilitate preparation for design meetings – printout designs for review meetings, arrange cuttings and samples for review, capture meeting minutes for follow up post reviews
- Own design-to-production handoff sheet
- Develop hand rendered designs
- Coordinate delivery of production-ready artwork and files to vendors and printers
- Complete color work – preparing details to send to mills for color blankets
- Create CADs and Drawings for Approval for rug orders
- Complete other project-oriented responsibilities, including – create standards to educate warehouse on new products, prepare for product photoshoots, support limited graphic design projects for new collection launches, complete ad hoc projects with the operations team
