SUMMARY OF POSITION :
The Social Media Manager will develop and oversee the museum’s social media strategy, reaching an audience of over 7 million people across various platforms. Partnering with stakeholders inside and outside of the museum, you will create, publish, and moderate content on the museum’s official channels and lead innovation and the adoption of the latest best practices. Working collaboratively with colleagues in Marketing, Communications, and Digital Media across the Guggenheim Constellation, you will develop a social media plan that aligns with the broader institutional brand strategy and positions Guggenheim as welcoming and relevant.
SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
- 3 years of experience in social media or digital marketing, preferably in the arts and cultural field.
- Track record of successful management of large social accounts and / or for major brands or organizations.
- Excellent writing and proofreading abilities.
- Deep understanding of social media platforms and trends.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop and InDesign, video editing tools, and social media management and reporting platforms (e.g., Sprout Social).
- Proficiency in creating and editing engaging video content optimized for social media platforms.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Interest in emerging social media products / tools.
- Creativity, flexibility, and a sense of humor.
- Genuine interest in and knowledge of modern and contemporary art, design and / or architecture.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

WORK SCHEDULE : 40 Hours per Week, Schedule TBD (Must be able to monitor / update Social Media Accounts nights, weekends, and holidays.)
POSITION TYPE : Full-time, Exempt. This position is covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement with Local 2110 UAW.
SALARY RANGE : $70,040 – $72,000 Annually
