Job Description
Schedule : this tech position works a typical work schedule of 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. Flexibility is key, as you'll occasionally work evenings and weekends. Travel is part of the adventure, with all expenses covered by us.
This position requires collaboration with end-users, designers, installation technicians, electrical contractors, and other professionals to implement and commission systems tailored to the needs of each project. Projects will encompass various settings, including but not limited to schools, houses of worship, broadcast studios, museums, and themed entertainment venues. The Systems Integrator will collaborate closely with the sales, integration, and installation teams to deliver high-quality and innovative projects and designs to clients. This position reports directly to the Director of Integration.
- Develop network plans and IP layouts on a per-project basis.
- Understand and operate within the company design process.
- Design and maintain schematic layouts for equipment.
- Label and / or log all equipment configurations, network settings, and hardware identifiers.
- Create and maintain programming files for control systems, following the functionality guidelines set by the project's designer.
- Aid in preparation and testing of all equipment in the office prior to installation.
- Perform on-site work as a technician and commissioning agent.
- Terminate equipment cabling both in the office and in the field.
- Maintain network standards for projects and in-office testing areas.
- Perform technical support for clients via email, online chat, phone, and in-person.
- Aid in audio system tuning with the project's audio designer.
- Learn and explore various manufacturer's programming and control systems (i.e. Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, AMX, Paradigm, NovaStar).
- Perform after-hours and weekend work as required.
- Travel to project sites (local and overnight travel).
Requirements
Preferred qualifications :
Familiarity with software such as Wireless Workbench, Dante Controller, SMAART, LightDesigner, Vectorworks, and generic network scanning tools
Experience with control protocols and systems, including Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, AMX, etc.
Advanced proficiency with Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS operating systems
Intermediate understanding of CAD software and Google Workspace products
This position will require constant ongoing training and certification. All training classes and travel will be provided and paid for by ii. This position requires the Systems Integrator to become a certified ETC Factory Technician in Lighting. This position requires the Systems Integrator to become a certified QSC Q-SYS programmer. This position requires the Systems Integrator to obtain a minimum Level 2 Dante certification. Other technology certifications will be strongly encouraged. This position will require drafting skills in Vectorworks. This position will require strong console programming skills and networking skills to ensure proper configuration of equipment and systems
