Job Title: Raw Ingredient Buyer

Location: Boston, MA

Job Summary:The Raw Ingredient Buyer manages procurement and inventory of raw materials for manufacturing. This role requires strong planning, negotiation, and organizational skills to ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality and production efficiency. Experience in food ingredient sourcing and supply chain management is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Purchased and replenish raw materials while managing vendor relationships.
• Ensure accurate pricing, freight costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Work with QA, R&D, and production teams to ensure material quality and availability.
• Resolve supply chain issues and expedite materials as needed.
• Handle vendor audits, invoice discrepancies, and inter-plant transfers.
• Oversee inventory accuracy, dead stock, and quarterly audits.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred).
• 3-5 years of procurement or supply chain experience, preferably in food ingredients.
• Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to multitask and manage urgent supply issues.
