What are the responsibilities and job description for the Control Engineer position at Theery?
As an early member of our client's team, you will be responsible for lab-scale electrolyzer technology development. This position involves working with PLCs, SCADA systems, sensors, and relays for our test fixtures and infrastructure. They are a startup, so independence, the ability to critically prioritize, and being proactive and team oriented are key attributes.
Key Responsibilities
- Diligently practice and improve on safety protocols and procedures.
- Design, implement, and maintain electrochemical test stands and associated controls infrastructure.
- Architect, program and configure PLCs interfacing with electrochemical cells, mass flow controllers, pumps, valves, heaters, coolers, thermocouples, transducers, a variety of sensors, and more.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of automated safety systems, including sensors, alarms, and interlocks.
- Continually update and refine HMI and SCADA interfaces for test equipment.
- Refine real-time data logging, analysis and visualization systems.
- Assist in the maintenance and development of our client's network infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve end-to-end issues with control systems and instrumentation.
- Collaborate with broader engineering team to support R&D and scaleup efforts.
