Procurement / Buyer ~ Industrial Manufacturing
We are seeking detail-oriented Senior and Mid-level Buyers to join our growing procurement team. Your role will involve compiling information and records to prepare purchase orders for materials, ensuring a smooth procurement process. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining inventory levels and supporting our manufacturing operations.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this position, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill essential duties effectively. The qualifications below reflect the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with one of the following ERP systems: Sage ERP, SYSPRO, MS Dynamics, or Fishbowl.
- Knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM) in a manufacturing environment.
- Background in manufacturing or equipment procurement.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience.
- Experience in procurement or a related industry, preferably within Electro-Mechanical, Capital Equipment, Industrial Machinery, or Electrical Industrial Control Components manufacturing environments.
Skills:
- Proficient in reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Strong verbal communication skills, capable of effectively presenting information to groups of customers or employees.
- Competence in calculating figures and amounts, including discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address issues involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
