Job Description:
Theoris Services is assisting our client in their search for a Computer Operator Technician III to add to their growing team located in Fishers, IN. Our client is seeking an individual to operate computer systems in their data center. Looking at cameras observing security, monitoring environments, helping with help desk tickets (resetting passwords, etc. but following processes that already exist). This person will be monitoring automated jobs within an application that runs overnight and through the day. They will be initiating jobs and restarting jobs using software called One Automation. They will ensure production processing schedules are met, ensure online availability of SLA's performing data processing operations, performing backup procedures to reduce risk of data loss, maintaining computer equipment and inventory and organizing repairs as needed. They will also ensure all application, system software, hardware and environmental issues are logged in Service Now, assist developers, DBA, and systems staff as appropriate to resolve issues.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor the batch production processing; ensure online availability schedules are met; escalate critical processing issues as appropriate, produces required logs, records, and reports
- Assist in the development and maintenance of disaster recovery procedures.
- Ensure that auditing controls, procedures, and processes are followed completely, accurately, and turned over.
- Monitoring building Alarms
- Checking in and out guests, vendors, and contractors
Requirements:
- US Citizen - must be able to get security clearance
- Data center operation experience is a huge plus
- Good working knowledge of Windows computer systems and PC file structure
- PC support experience (Word, Excel, GroupWise-email)
- Working knowledge of an automated scheduling packages like - Automic/One Automation
- Someone who's patient and can monitor, comfortable working independently
