MES Responsibilities
- Ensure projects and team focus are aligned with company policy.
- Demonstrate the ability to convert process flows into automated workflow models.
- Provide MES traceability data, and applications for process improvement.
- Execute the digital vision and strategy around MES across the network.
- Leverage MES and PLC knowledge to standardize and streamline line design and new process development.
- Design, specify, and support the MES platform with modifications, operational performance, and product quality.
- Analyze, recommend, and implement MES projects.
- Provide SME expertise to team members, support training and problem-solving with department leaders.
- Coordinate with digital quality and computer system validation teams to generate and implement lifecycle documentation and validation protocols.
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting within an assembly plant that utilizes an Ingersoll Rand Bluetooth enabled torque gun/drill, with an opportunity to gain experience in code.
- Be willing to travel within the US to be trained in Inductive Automation Ignition (MES system) for four weeks (all expenses covered). Compensatory time off and financial reimbursement will be granted for after-hours emergencies.
IT Infrastructure Responsibilities
- Liaise and support end users and staff on IT networks and equipment.
- Work on Help Desk tickets and projects in a timely and courteous manner, ensuring compliance with the Help Desk Service Level Agreement (SLA).
- Record, track, and document the progress of Help Desk tickets from submission until final resolution.
- Complete regular system maintenance on local and remote IT equipment, including PC and software upgrades.
- Problem tracking and resolution with local IT infrastructure support vendors (ISP’s, support agencies, etc.)
- Create and maintain documentation of IT systems, support procedures, and user manuals.
- Monitor and test system performance; prepare and deliver system performance statistics and reports.
- PC imaging, PC deployment and phone system maintenance for global network of computer users.
- Assist in developing standards and processes to support and facilitate Information Technology projects and initiatives.
- Occasional work on assigned projects for other local locations, as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or associate Degree in an appropriate IT-related field from an accredited college/university is preferred, although appropriate job experience and/or certifications will be considered.
- Preferred Certifications: CompTIA A or CompTIA Network; Microsoft Associate-level certifications; Specialty certifications in PLC, HMI, or similar hardware
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- 1-2 years of general IT experience in manufacturing is preferred.
