About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled IT Technician to join our team as a Project Engineer for a critical Windows 10 to 11 upgrade project. This is a time-bound, full-time contract position from January to October 2024.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the successful and timely execution of this major IT infrastructure upgrade. This will involve hands-on technical work, project coordination, and ensuring minimal disruption to business operations throughout the transition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Coordination:
- Assist in the development and implementation of the project plan, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with stakeholders across departments to ensure smooth project execution and minimize disruptions.
- Document all project activities, progress, and any encountered issues.
- Technical Execution:
- Perform Windows 10 to 11 upgrades on workstations, laptops, and servers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any compatibility issues or upgrade-related problems.
- Test and validate system functionality after the upgrade.
- Assist in the migration of user data and applications to the new Windows 11 environment.
- Technical Support:
- Provide technical support to end-users throughout the upgrade process.
- Address user inquiries and resolve any issues promptly.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
- Security & Compliance:
- Ensure data security and compliance throughout the upgrade process.
- Implement necessary security measures to protect sensitive data.
- Adhere to all relevant IT security and compliance standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an IT Technician or in a related role.
- Strong understanding of Windows 10 and 11 operating systems, including their features, configurations, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and other relevant IT infrastructure technologies.
- Familiarity with system imaging, deployment tools, and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Experience with project management methodologies (a plus).
- Willingness to travel as required for project needs.

Pay: $38,000.00 per year
