DLX is seeking a creative and dynamic Senior Communications Director to join our senior leadership team in New York. Reporting to both the Senior Vice President and President, this role is pivotal in driving day-to-day operations, client deliverables, and team management. The ideal candidate will be culture-obsessed, resourceful, and possess exceptional critical thinking skills, with a proven ability to lead and execute creative strategies, projects, and events from start to finish.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute innovative communications strategies aligned with client objectives, spanning established and emerging media, social media, content, collaborations, partnerships, events, and special projects.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of the fashion and creative industries, coupled with a keen awareness of the media landscape, to drive impactful brand narratives and engagements.
- Exhibit excellent writing skills, including drafting press releases, crafting successful media pitches, and providing strategic advice on client tone of voice across marketing collateral.
- Conceptualize and manage brand events, overseeing invitation lists, securing event coverage, coordinating talent, interviews, and photographers.
- Lead and oversee the client reporting process, ensuring transparency, accountability, and alignment with client expectations.
- Cultivate and maintain extensive industry relationships with media, stylists, influencers, and other key stakeholders.
- Establish and nurture strong, trusting relationships with clients, maintaining efficient communication channels and delivering exceptional service.
- Provide leadership, development, and mentorship to the communications team, managing workload, performance, and professional growth opportunities.
- Thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment, consistently delivering results while adhering to strict timelines.
