Job Overview
This is a unique and exciting opportunity to be part of a team launching a new business (The Project) for a client of TheQuantumGroup.
A business model has been developed for an industrial natural fiber brokerage business that imports material globally and sells it domestically. The Project is to continue putting the business plan into action. The plan then calls for converting the brokerage import business to a large-scale domestic processing business in the Florida panhandle.
The Project Manager will work with the company’s implementation and financial engineering consultant, TheQuantumGroup, and will be responsible for planning, organizing, and leading the Project to successful implementation. The PM will ensure that all project work is executed efficiently and effectively.
Essential Functions:
· Create and manage detailed project plans, tasks, and timelines according to SOPs.
· Actively participate and execute plans – not just manage others.
· Ensure that project goals are completed on time, within budget, and with the required level of quality.
· This is a full-time, dedicated position.
· Produce and distribute status, tracking, and executive summary reports.
· Prepare and present project information at internal and external meetings.
· Create and coordinate communications (emails, spreadsheets, PowerPoints, etc.)
· Must be able to work with and coordinate various teams and stakeholders to ensure everyone is aligned and working towards the same goals.
· Work with teams to identify potential risks, roadblocks, and challenges that could impact the project’s success. Develop contingency plans to mitigate these risks and keep the project on track.
Qualifications
- Zero to One experience – with a startup in a new industry - a plus
- Experience in a traditional manufacturing or distribution business
- MBA preferred – or BS degree in business, engineering, or related technical field.
- Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience considered
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results to the appropriate quality and timeline metrics
- Good problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work under limited direction
- Strong software and computer skills, including MS Office applications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients. Good teamwork skills
- Ability to clear a required background check
Compensation & Benefits
This is a 1099 contractor position. The anticipated duration of the project is up to 24 months.
Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
