Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Human Services, Nonprofit Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in developing and facilitating training programs, preferably in a nonprofit or disability services setting.
- Strong understanding of disability rights, accessibility standards, and inclusive practices.
- Strong interpersonal & effective communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a mission-driven environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, learning management systems (LMS), and virtual training platforms (e.g., GoTo Meetimg).
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Ability to pass criminal/registry background checks and a drug screen
- Clear tuberculosis (TB) screening
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities in a professional or volunteer capacity.
- Current Red Cross Instructor Certification in CPR/SFA
- Current Safety Care Instructor
- Familiarity with LMS such as The College of Direct Supports and Relias
- Schedules/shifts may include day, evening and weekend hours
- Design and deliver training programs for staff including developing educational materials, presentations, and resources tailored to different audiences.
- Provide training in CPR/FA, SafetyCare and all agency-required training.
- Develop, implement, monitor, and complete data entry for tracking attendance and performance.
- Serve as a liaison with the local Red Cross regarding trainee certification and training schedule notifications.
- Evaluate staff performance in designated training competency areas.
- Participate in development and implementation of training plans.
- Maintain and replenish all supplies and equipment relevant to CPR/FA, universal precaution kits.
- Attend meetings and workshops as required.
- Coordinate and assist in developing agency trainings.
- Develop training calendar, coordinate and confirm trainers' schedules, and confirm training room reservations.
- Schedule trainings and update attendance records in the training database portal.
