Description: Direct and supervise the delivery of comprehensive services to adults in the crisis stabilization program.
Duties and responsibilities of the LMHP:
- Provide weekly supervision to assigned counselors and other LMHP-E designated staff.
- Complete all assessments and treatment plans.
- Works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary treatment team and community based partners.
- Conducts comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments accordance with agency assessment protocol.
- Provides supervision to counselors.
- Partners with staff and clients to develop and oversee the implementation of person-centered recovery-based treatment plans.
- Assists with crisis intervention.
- Monitors service quality and treatment outcomes.
- Manage all of program’s clinical documentation (Individual services plans, supervision notes, transitional plans, screening forms, discharge summaries, psychological/psychiatric evaluations, correction, signing, and filling of notes) in accordance with Medicaid and licensure regulations.
- Complete case load billing report to be submitted to Program Director weekly.
- Completed and review various audits within the program.
- Actively coordinate case management, discharge, and aftercare planning with referral agencies.
- Provides in-service training to staff including but not limited to (assessments, note writing, discharge reporting, ISP writing, quality chart maintenance, and supervision).
- Participate in Agency-wide training programs and meetings and maintain clinical agency training log.
- Participate in weekly executive meeting.
- Perform random monthly systematic chart audits and provide evaluation to executive team.
- Organize all service program chart audit quarterly to ensure charts are within accordance of the requirements set by VADBHDS Licensure regulations and DMAS regulatory standards.
- Maintain competency on regulatory standards and provide monthly in service trainings to case managers and other designated staff on new /updated VADBHDS/DMAS regulatory standards.
- As needed participate in marketing presentations
- Interview potential staff
- Provide agency responses to Corrective Action Plans given by VADBHDS.
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities:
· Ability to read and implement VADBHDS/DMAS regulatory standards.
· Ability to effectively supervising direct care staff.
- Ability to build and sustain relations in the community.
- Strong psychosocial assessment and treatment planning skills.
- Ability to train staff on how to write clinically
- Ability to communicate in large public settings
- Minimal supervision regarding use of time, able to prioritize work assignments.
- Ability to communicate effectively with professionals verbally and in writing with clients/families.
- Ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations.
- Working knowledge and or experience with crisis stabilization services.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Clinician I shall be licensed eligible (LMHP-E resident in counseling) or Licensed as a Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marital and Family Therapist (LMFT), Psychiatrist or RN (with direct clinical experience). There is a requirement that the preferred applicant will have no less than 5 years of experience in providing or supervising the clinical treatment of clients receiving mental health services

- Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work or relative field, from an accredited college or university. Two-three years of experience working in community mental health preferred.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret human service periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and the general public.
