As the Medical Assistant Your Main Responsibilities and Duties Will Include:
- Assisting the Clinical Research Coordinators with various study responsibilities including:
- Completing study visits duties not limited to the assisting in the Informed Consent process, collection of blood samples, vital signs, performing EKGs and subject photography, processing of lab specimens and query participants for adverse events/concomitant medications.
- Filing documents (lab reports, dictations, etc.).
- Assisting management with the drug temperature monitoring system and report filings.
- Attending required study initiation and investigator meetings as needed.
- Assist physicians with:

- Setting up and assisting in dermatology procedures, surgeries.
- Completing pathology request forms as required as well as processing pathology specimens according to instructions on the TCR Pathology Flow Form.
- Creating and archiving electronic documents pertaining to patient visits (dictations, photographs, etc.).
- Assisting and following up with patients for prescriptions, wound care instructions, lab results, etc. as well as prior authorizations.
- Serving as medical assistant for both private and research patients, including rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, medical history, demographics, current medications, collection of urine and blood specimens and other pertinent information regarding their clinic visit.
- Assisting in the management of OSHA/lab safety procedures and required trainings
- Setting up and assisting in dermatology procedures, surgeries.

- Providing coverage for other staff members when applicable.
- Assisting in process improvement initiatives such as the management of the records room and/or drug room.
To Succeed in this Position:
- You should have at least 2 to 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant and have an interest in learning clinical trials. Prior dermatology medical assistant experience highly preferred.
- You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a friendly disposition, and ability to form and nurture interpersonal relationships to provide best-in-class patient care.
- You should have a high-level problem-solving, planning and organization skills; be able to multi-task and possess great attention to detail.
- You should have the ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow.
- Phlebotomy certification is required.
**Please note, role is temporary with a tentative end of assignment in Sept 2025.
The most likely starting base pay range for this position is $20 to $29/hour. Several factors, such as experience, tenure, skills, and particular business needs, will determine an individual’s exact level of compensation.
