What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Social Worker- Part-Time - 100% Remote position at Therapy Source?
As part of our mission to pave the way for children’s success worldwide, Therapy Source is currently seeking a School Social Worker to provide online services for charter school students. Must have self-management and organizational skills. Experience with schools and online services/telehealth needed. No limited licenses, must have Approval/310 letter.
This position is for the remainder of the current school year with extension into the next year.
School Social Worker Salary Range: $60-$65 per hour
School Social Worker Hours: Flexible Scheduling
School Social Worker Qualifications:
- Licensure as a Social Worker in the state of Michigan
- School Certification as a Social Worker in the state of Michigan
- Possession of (or willingness to obtain) up-to-date clearances
- Proof of individual professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)
School Social Worker Responsibilities May Include:
- Driving student achievement for students with disabilities
- Responding to progress monitoring results and student assessment data
- Providing support to students, parents, and general education staff and supporting student learning
- Mentoring and coaching students on self-regulation and organizational skills
- Developing effective IEPs that translate into measurable results for students
- Handling Medicare reimbursements
