Job Title: Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist
Job Summary:
As a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist, you will be responsible for operating CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' internal organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes. You will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and high-quality images are obtained.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Operate CT equipment to obtain quality images of designated body parts.
2. Position patients correctly and safely on the CT table to ensure accurate images.
3. Monitor patients during scans to ensure their comfort and well-being.
4. Ensure proper documentation of patient history and information before performing CT scans.
5. Maintain and calibrate CT equipment to ensure optimal performance.
6. Follow protocol and safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
7. Collaborate with radiologists to review and interpret images for diagnostic purposes.
8. Assist in patient education and communication about CT procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
2. ARRT certification in CT.
3. State licensure or certification as required.
4. Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
7. Attention to detail and accuracy in image production.
8. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism.
