Job Title: Radiologic Technologist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team in Klawock, AK. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, handling and maintaining equipment, and ensuring patient safety. The ideal candidate will have experience in working with digital radiography and be capable of implementing new imaging techniques to improve patient care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, and ultrasounds
- Prepare patient for imaging procedures, including positioning and instructing patients on breath-holding techniques
- Operate and maintain radiologic equipment
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures
- Keep accurate records of patient procedures, equipment usage, and results
- Communicate with patients and explain imaging procedures to them
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure appropriate imaging procedures are performed
- Assist in the development of new imaging techniques and protocols
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate degree in Radiologic Technology
- Current Radiologic Technologist certification
- Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in radiography
- Experience with digital imaging systems
- Ability to implement new imaging techniques to enhance patient care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
