Therm, Incorporated a leader in providing innovative machining solutions to a global market, is currently seeking qualified individuals for a Production Control Planner position.
- FIRST Shift (7:00am - 3:30pm)
- Overtime as needed or as business necessitates.
- Starting wage dependent upon experience.
PRIMARY JOB DESCRIPTION, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works with Manufacturing / Engineering / Quality to plan and schedule workloads and machines.
- Works with Purchasing to coordinate material availability and also outside vender requirements.
- Coordinates long term plans for production with Marketing. Helps to incorporate business plan into production plan and schedules.
- Incorporates a general understanding of Therm, Incorporated operations and machine capabilities, working closely with Manufacturing and Engineering to recognize problem areas.
- Able to understand production control principles including lead time management and scheduling techniques.
- Create identification cards/router cards and work orders for all jobs on the production floor.
- Tracking parts and inventory.
- Assist in the collection and distribution of tooling for job start up as required.
- Work closely with appropriate people and departments to insure proper product flow and production problems as they arise.
- Excellent communication skills and computer knowledge is a must. Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and Project is necessary. Shop Trac/Infor experience is a plus.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- At all times, work to Therm, Incorporated Code of Ethics, Safety Standards and Quality Policies while performing operational functions.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Good self starter.
- Must pass physical examination and drug test.
- Background check is also performed.
