Position Summary
We are seeking an innovative Business Development Manager to support our growth strategy, expand our market presence, and understand how to create revenue by driving complex deals from the lead stage to contract execution. This role is ideal for a professional with a track record in scaling business operations, driving team-based company. The incumbent will have a proven record of consistently meeting sales quotas.
This is a remote position and based out of Columbus, OH.
Position Responsibilities
Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies that align with company goals and revenue targets. Provide regularly scheduled updates on progress towards meeting targets.
Market Intelligence and Expansion: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, identify new market opportunities, emerging industry trends, and strategic partnerships to drive growth in key regions and verticals.
Partnership Management: Forge and manage relationships with key decision makers such as buyers, engineers, executives, and potential partners to drive brand growth and revenue.
Revenue Generation: Administer pipeline development, lead generation, and sales processes, ensuring effective strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Product Management, and Finance teams to ensure alignment on growth initiatives and market positioning.
Performance Reporting: Track and report on business development activities, including pipeline health and progress toward revenue.
Position Requirements
Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
3 years of sales experience in a hunter role for a manufacturing business selling six figure or greater opportunities
Record of consistently meeting and exceeding quotas
Highly proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Utilize Excel or CRM tools to record key metrics on opportunities and pipeline reporting
Excellent verbal and writing skills; Great computer skills
