What are the responsibilities and job description for the Buyer (part-time) position at Thermal Technology, LLC?
Machinist Group, LLC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Thermal Technology. Machinist Group has over 40 years’ experience and we’re currently in a path of significant growth and development.
This is a custom machine shop with a continuous flow of a variety of projects. The pace is commonly elevated, with competing priorities. For that reason, culture is of the utmost importance to us. Primary Job Duties for the Buyer role would include;
- using Microsoft Office apps comfortably, for daily tasks & reports
- participating within a team environment to fulfill project demand;
- negotiating price, terms, and delivery while buying materials and parts;
- staying current on vendor status & schedules (expediting when necessary) & presenting to the production manager;
- learning Sage 100 ERP to maintain Vendor data, material records, and issue POs; and,
- communicating clearly both outside & inside the organization.

Previous experience in a Buyer or Procurement role is desirable.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week
