Job Description
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented HVAC Sales Engineer to join our team. The Sales Engineer will be responsible for selling specialized mechanical services to clients within the commercial, industrial, and institutional industries. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in sales. Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders in our marketplace.
- Understand clients' specific requirements and challenges and offer tailored mechanical solutions to address their needs.
Sales and Business Development:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve sales targets and expand the company's presence in our operating territory.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within targeted vertical markets.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to potential clients.
Technical Expertise:
- Possess a deep understanding of mechanical systems, HVAC, cooling solutions, and other related technologies.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to effectively communicate their value to clients.
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work closely with the service and project management teams to ensure seamless execution of projects, meeting clients' expectations and timelines.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve client issues and concerns promptly.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and transactions using CRM software.
- Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and market feedback to the management team.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in selling mechanical services to the commercial, industrial, and institutional industries (minimum of 5 years)
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field (or 5 years' experience as a commercial HVAC technician)
- Strong technical background and understanding of mechanical systems and 5 years or more of experience with HVAC technologies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events.
- Ability to pass a background check and preemployment drug screen.
