Position Title: Associate Scientist

Summary of Duties: Performs a variety of routine to complex sample preparation and analysis procedures to quantitatively measure pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical compounds in a variety of formulations and biological matrices for stability and analytical testing. Problem solves with assistance pertaining to extraction and instrumentation problems. Trains on routine operation, maintenance and theory of analytical instrumentation, SOPs and regulatory procedures and guidelines. Independently manages QC and QA responsibilities. Communicates project status to project leader. Performs work assignments accurately, and in a timely and safe manner. Reviews, interprets, and analyzes data for technical, quality and compliance to protocols, methods, SOPs, client criteria and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). Performs self and peer review of the data for accuracy and compliance with reporting requirements prior to submission to QA and issuance to customers.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Forensic Science or related scientific field and One (1) year of experience in the job offered or as an Assistant Scientist or related role. Must have one (1) year of experience with: Application of ICH guidelines; Application of GMPs and GLPs; Optimizing analytical methods (Assist, LES, LIMS, IDBS); Troubleshooting laboratory instruments (LEAP, ACQUITY, HTS-PAL); Experience with SOPs and regulatory procedures; Experience with SCIEX Analyst Software; Experience with WATERS Masslynx Software; Experience with Hamilton Liquid Handlers; Operation, Minor maintenance, auto injectors, pumps, and MSMS systems; and Advanced Chromatography.
