About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Budgeting and Forecasting Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and leading the annual OPEX budget, preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual OPEX forecasts, and monitoring and reporting on variances to plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and lead the annual OPEX budget, prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual OPEX forecasts, and monitor and report on variances to plan.
- Financial Analysis & Reporting: Complete monthly close activities related to OPEX of supported functions such as expense accruals, inter-company charges, analyze historical and current data to identify trends and variances, prepare reports and review results/forecast with functional leaders, conduct detailed analysis and provide insights to areas for cost control, and collaborate with other function to collect information and develop understanding for reporting.
- Business Partnering: Work closely with department heads to understand their OPEX requirements and provide financial guidance, assist in the preparation of cases for new initiatives and projects, and provide financial support for contract negotiations and vendor management.
Requirements:
- Advanced Knowledge of Excel: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
- Proven Financial Abilities: Proven experience in financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis is essential.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Organized and Capable: The ability to prioritize workload and deliver results in a fast-paced environment is crucial.
- Comfortable with Complex Data: Comfortable working with large and complex data sets and communicating findings to senior management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or related field is required.
- Work Experience: 3 years of work experience in Finance, Accounting or related field, with a solid understanding of financial reporting and analysis is necessary.
- Proficiency in Financial Modeling Tools: Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, financial software) is required.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
- Ability to Work Independently: Ability to work independently and as part of a team is necessary.
