Work ScheduleFirst Shift (Days)Environmental ConditionsAble to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Laboratory Setting, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)Job DescriptionSchedule - First Shift 8am- 4 : 30pm (overtime as needed)How will you make an impact?The Sr Quality Control Technician is responsible for supporting lab operators through material handling, transactions, and scheduling while ensuring a general responsibility for safety, quality, delivery, and cost daily, while in the QC team.Responsibilities : Performs material transaction requests and expenses materialsAssists in Cycle CountCoordinates between planning and QC teams to achieve schedule attainment demands based on constraints within supply, capacity, equipment or other aspects of operations.Analyze data / critical metrics to monitor the progress of QC activities. Adjust the schedule as needed to maintain delivery or collaborate with planning to assess impacts on the schedule.Assist with updating QC testing methods, SOPs, and batch record forms to align with current laboratory practices and improvementsMaintain a team-like mindset and communicate effectivelyEnsure the laboratory is well-stocked and resourcedSupports, embraces, and promotes the Thermo Fisher 4 I values - Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and InvolvementHelp maintain the Quality Control laboratory in a safe, tidy, and efficient condition and to ensure safe working practices are followedMinimum Qualifications : Working knowledge of general cGMP lab compliance or in a distribution centerStrong quality-first mindsetAbility to perform independently & as part of a teamAbility to work in dynamic, fast paced team environmentPreferred Qualifications : High School Diploma or equivalent minimum1 year of previo experience in a GMP setting preferredKnowledge of E1, SAP or other ERP software preferredKnowledge of 5S system and process improvements preferredWe offer competitive salary, an annual incentive bonus plan, 401K with company match up to 6%, tuition reimbursement, and a range of other employee benefits!Compensation and BenefitsThe hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $21.82-$32.73.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and / or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
