Position Summary And Objectives
Lead the Production and Material Planning team at Miami, OK to meet customer demand.
What will you do?
- Build executable supply plans across all value streams that meet customer demand
- Understand and highlight capacity constraints related to equipment and labor, work collaboratively with the Operations Team on resolution.
- Generate a material requirements plan that supports the production plan, partner with the Procurement function on mitigation of critical raw material constraints.
- Collaborate cross-divisional within other Thermo Fisher divisions & groups to ensure adequate supply of internally produced products.
- Develop inventory strategies to boost revenue, reduce E&O risk, and maintain inventory levels.
- Lead, coach and mentor a team of Production and Materials Planners in order to achieve the highest level of engagement and attract top talent.
- Support the planning team with analysis, leadership, and development of improvement initiatives and long-term strategies.
- Lead Supply Review and S&OE Meetings to clarify risks & opportunities for the team to take necessary actions.
- Represent the Supply Chain function within the SLT, including performance reporting, budget management, strategy contribution, decision-making, and communications.
- Minimum Required Education: HS Diploma/ GED
- 10 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing supply chain environment.
- At least 5 years of people leadership, development and mentoring.
- Proficiency in an Enterprise System, such as SAP, Oracle, JDE, M2M or another major ERP system.
- Ability to build connections across different parts of the organization: Commercial, Marketing, Product Development, Finance, Engineering, Procurement and Manufacturing.
- Detailed knowledge of end-to-end planning processes: demand planning, supply planning, new product introductions, material planning, manufacturing/capacity planning and IBP / SIOP processes
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, including ability to present to a diverse and global audience.
